As expected, there's been more hatching action here overnight. I can't tell if that's two more shells or 2 parts of one, but once she moves, we'll be able to tell more!

Since these 3 are dry & Clara is still shimmying this morning, I guess (& hope) we'll have another eyas soon!

Must have missed the feeding but saw FC standing guard over the chicks before Clara returned.



He seemed mesmerized by them.

I still see 3 and an egg.


Also, that big wing almost knocked one of the chicks out upon arrival.
Good grief they sure are eating a lot to be so small.

Well, the little chicks sat by themselves for a while until FC came in and the first thing he did was step on one of the chicks.

Prior to that, I think he had been preening up on the wall.

ok I think he's got the situation under control now.

Oops, he's gone and Clara not back yet.

Oh thank goodness, she just got back and tucked her babies in.

Good grief, I don't know how they survive all the rough handling.
Clara's tucking and shaking as hard as she can.

Still 3 this morning at breakfast

yep, that one is knocked out with his head on the egg now. Not sure how much they actually ate as most of the bites were too big and she hadto take them back.

FC brought prey, but Clara not interested so he left with it.

Still just 3 + 1 egg. 2:08pm

Clara just shot out of the NB over ledge, towards far end and out of cam view. Cam panned to find her, but she's nowhere to be seen.

Cam 2 finds bird on parapet. It just flew. Cam 2 pans again and finds bird on top of nest box now. Believe Clara just returned to box. She seems alert, looking out. 2:12pm

That was a little weird. Maybe she's looking for FC & food?

ETA: 2:13pm - Clara has left again. No parent in box with eyasses.
Parent arrives 2:17pm - grabs a little prey remains. It's FC. Eyasses are ready for food. He's alert and looking around. The remains are piddly - a picked on wing. I think he's sneaking food to them.. He looks awfully alert - I think waiting for Clara. He changed sides and just ran over one of them with the prey - poor little one. He's trying. He needs to get a little closer. He's got 3 hungry mouths! So cute.

He is a good Dad. He just changed sides. And he's give them really small bites and very slow. Good job! They are still hungry. I think they are going to have to wait for Clara for a full meal.

FC just left the box. Walking down runway. To drain. Up to ledge. Looking out. 2:30

Aawww look at the size of the mouth on that one! Glad they can handle being roughed up...LOL He is a good daddy...

Must be warm there today. Little ones being left uncovered.
