Guinevere is on the ledge, basking in the beautiful sun.

I got to watch Guinevere on the cam at work today! She alternated between the ledge and the nest. It was so beautiful to see her with the wind ruffling her feathers, enjoying the warm weather and getting some rest before the chick feeding scramble to come ..... I will provide a ground report tonight or tomorrow.

I was gone most of the day, but every time I was able to check in THE CAM WAS WORKING JUST FINE!!

I never heard from Brent, but as long as the cam is working I am okay with that. I have his contact info for the future if necessary!

Cam/ground report: When I left work around 6:15 pm, G was in the box on top of the eggs, looking settled for the night. When I arrived downtown about 7 minutes later, I noticed that the tiercel had settled on a west facing window of the Tower Building, and he was facing towards G and the box. This is the same window that I saw him settled in last Thursday in the middle of the night, on the side close to the County-City Building. In the winter, the birds changed windows frequently. I will be interested to see if the tiercel keeps this window, the very closest one to the nest box.

Cam report: 11:23 pm, G is on the ledge, looks like she might be dozing. Hmmm, the wind is ruffling her side feathers even though she is in the box, must be some gusts tonight, but not very wild out there. 12:22 She is still there, perhaps enjoying the night air. She seems pretty sleepy.

Here we go again...I've lost the cam...

Cam is up. She is resting on the eggs, which is what I've seen all day when I've popped over to check on her.

5:35 am Rain in the cam, darn it ! I think G is in there on the eggs, that looks like her face in the lower left hand corner. The tiercel was in "his " window about 10:30 last night.

6:01 am Oh there she is, and is that a third egg?

Ground report: Yesterday driving early to work, saw the tiercel on the SE corner of the Building, doing an early morning pre-hunting preen in the light rain. This morning, I saw him on the NW corner about 8:30, looking absolutely regal against a pleasing background of pale grey-blue sky and grey and white clouds. He flew away to the north a few minutes after i arrived. Since the eggs have come, I only see him rest in the early morning or the evening, otherwise he is gone, or sometimes hunting downtown. Then again I may have missed something, since our office had a big crunch at tax time. I don't know if he has been back to the nest to know that he is a father of three.

In general he seems to have an earnest quality about him. It will be interesting to see him as a father of chicks. I will try to post later this week about his hunting activities.

thanks so much sbwatcher! Since these eggs are behind Kathy and Will's at Market Tower in Indy, I hope to come help with fledge watch for a day... Wouldn't that be fun!!

Well, Guinevere is sitting quietly in the nest box.. Let's see - #3 came early the morning of the 16th. I wonder if #4 will come tomorrow? I have a hard time telling the two apart when looking at them from the side. Any distinct marking that would help me know who is who?

Hopefully the Mr. joins her in the box soon. We've got some nasty thunderstorms heading our way, hail expected and a tornado watch! It might be him in the box now, I'm not sure. Looks small to be G, but I could be wrong. Now after I did the screen shot it's pouring over there!
