CONGRATS TO EVERYONE ON THE HATCH. THOSE VIDEOS ARE PRICELESS. I'M HOPING SOMEONE SOON GETS A CLUE OR THEY MAY NEED TO STEP IN AND TAKE THE CHICK LIKE THEY DID IN WILMINGTON. HOPE ALL GOES WELL HERE FOR ALL. I DON'T GET HERE MUCH ANYMORE

I am really hoping to see a successful feeding soon. I haven't been able to check the cam all too much today but should't the little one be getting nourishment soon?
Maybe I'm going to be the lone voice here...
We need to give Durand and Spark a chance.
1) This baby was born just hours ago, and from everything I've ever read, they've got 24 hours of nutrition from egg yolk prior to hatching
2) They are both inexperienced parents. They just need the little one to open its mouth and beg, to maybe "kick in" those instincts. Spark is providing. Looks like Durand is trying to hatch another egg. She brought prey in the box earlier, so I think she knows she needs to feed it.
Let's give them some time to adjust to parenthood, before we start thinking of removing the eyas. Really, how will they ever learn if we take it away from them?
Honestly, I want them to be successful. I know we have certain expectations on what we think we should be seeing. If this doesn't go as we would like, unfortunately, it will be on cam, but what about all those other nests out there with new, inexperienced parents that we can't see into? They make it. We just need to be a little patient.
1/2 the battle is won... we have a hatch, who appears to be strong and has great instincts... As so many have already pointed out, it may be teaching them a thing or two this season!
Ms Nervous Nellie here... trying to be
