There was a 5pm shift change. Cher is now on duty. Eggs looked intact, but there was a little distance. It's warm today - 81 or 82 in SF, so they could be a little restless from the heat.

Something's bothering him. He quickly got off the eggs, but was looking towards the cam, down the runway. Wonder if a little bird or some kind of insect decided to come in...

When I first checked the cam this morning around 7AM, Dan was on duty. I think there was an exchange, while I wasn't paying attention.

Edit to correct (second try)... Changing my mind back.. I think this is Cher.. :girlcrazy:

Hi Bev.

Based on lay date, there are 2 possible scenarios:

1) 4/30 hatch of egg #1 based on the fact that Dan was already in hard incubation.

2) 5/5 hatch if hard incubation began after 3rd egg. Jim, who is a co-moderator, assumed Dan was incubating, but Cher was only covering.

So, we are somewhere in between right now.
