One didn't want to leave the box? Maybe he's hungry & is thinking that food will be delivered to the box. :teehee: Thanks, ljames!

Catwoman, I saw your post earlier but didn't have time to respond. I'm not sure that the one has been out of the box. I have never seen more than two out at once. I know that silver has been out and I think Yellow, so that leaves red. Just because i haven't seen it doesn't mean it hasn't happened. They have all probably been out there turning cartwheels up and down the runway when I'm not watching.

One more banding day video!

This is an edited version done by John Lewis of the view from both the nest/ledge cam, ground video and from Glenn's helmet cam!

The video link was posted this morning on the SJ Yahoo Group.

Here's what Glenn just posted:

Another great effort by JOHN LEWIS. For several years now, we have been trying to capture just what it is like at the eyrie for all of you who watch with intensity all season. John has been hampered at different times by the helmet cam being poorly aimed (or my failure to even turn it on!) but this time it all came together: views from camera 1 and camera 2, the helmet cam, and the view from the top of the 4th Street garage. John really nailed it. Nice job, John--Thanks! glenn@scpbrg

What a nice video. poor little babies. Banding video is the only chance I get to hear Clara and she's always upset.

Well, the boys are sure enjoying their freedom. One even jumped up on the low wall, slipped, toward the ledge and maybe had a look over the edge, and was quick to jump down and last I saw running in the direction of the scrape.

loving the drain.

Not the best shot, but I was getting a picture of him flapping his wings, never expected him to jump up there.

Not seeing too many feedings so they are having to look around for scraps. Of course they mostly play with them when they find them.. Also they are super fast runners and their hopping while flapping skills are excellent.

Great video! Glad to see such a healthy brood of boys here. Just watching him climb was frightening...I don't know how they do it.

A few shots from today. I've been very disappointed this year with the camera, don't zoom in on them too much. It's hard to get to know them when you can't see them.

Nice catches, ljames! Yeah, I know in prior years you would know the different personalities of the kids!

From the SJ Yahoo Group:

8:35pm Fernando arrives with Dinner

kids ready & waiting in the nest box - bolted out to grab the prey and the usual tug of war was on :)

This picture is really dark, but just wanted to put it up.

Interesting, everyone is late tonight (SF had an after 8pm shift change, Rochester had a 8PM shift change). Wonder if things are late tonight because of the heat. It's probably in the upper 70's/low 80's in SJ right now.
