I did...I'll post the vid after the feed..

I really think they could use fresh prey...the last two feeds (counting this one), the yukovers haven't looked like they've produced enough decent meat. maybe the baby is filling up, but not with very nutritious stuff?

Baby is going to be big enough pretty soon to walk over there and grab the prey away from Durand. I sure wish this little one had a nestmate but I guess it's better that it doesn't. Durand is trying so hard. That chick is surrounded by eggs so has something to lean against and prop on while waiting for the next bite. Oh wait, two good sized bites.

She really is...It reminds me of Harriet in Richmond when she only had the one chick..and how she would just stare at it for hours...and when it was asleep..she'd wake it up, just so she could stare at it some more...

what's so strange, its still crying..You'd think with a crop that size (I should have gotten a pic) that it would be out like a light!! But nope...you'd think it was starving, with those cries..

we have to trust these guys.

Durand wants to feed now that she is getting hang o fit. It is good Spark did better job at beginning.

We must remember, Durand had 2 bad years with males and now she has a great one, but has to learn to trust.

I am just so overjoyed with this site . it has been so long. :loveshow: :loveshow: :loveshow:
Please know that even though i am not here much(my plate has been so full lately, and not with food LOL) I always check in
Durand is a great mom .

single chicks are usually noisy . ours always were

Well, something is going on...I heard spark on the ledge or at a distance, Alarm calling, which pulled Durand out of the box...she returned after a few seconds..but then started alarm calling again and left...now baby is alone...in the sun...crying...I wonder if it will crawl to the shade...
