Shift change. Cher on 7:25am... And I think there might be some change in 1 egg. Will post video in a minute.

Here's one possible spot... very small I know...
Image

And here's possibly another, but it may also be the "texture" I posted about last week:
Image

Here are corresponding videos:

Dan comes off eggs and that gives cam a chance to zoom at 7:24am. I stop the video as they pull back. Cher comes into view at bottom of cam area, looks around, but leaves cam view. They start zooming on eggs again and I start the recording again. Cher then comes back on duty.

Second picture from above with possible texture from this video:

First picture above from this video:

And... all those spots could be wishful thinking...

I saw that one white spot on the left side egg.

The texture spot I pointed out, I think was on the same egg I posted about on 5/2 around 8:45AM/11:45AMET.

11:44am - Nest exchange. Dan on duty now.

I was on the phone and missed if they zoomed. From the "normal" distance position, did not see any noticeable changes..

I missed the switch... I've got a momma possum trying to get through my yard. I have my dogs crated or in the house, but every time I think she has moved on, the dogs see her, start barking and she goes back to where she started. There are dogs behind me, that are barking at her too. Poor Momma just can't get a break... but it has been fun watching the babies crawling all over her today!

From what I've read, they are normally out only at night unless their home has been disturbed.

This morning at 8:15, my dogs started barking and raced out the doggie door.. That's when I saw the possum. She ran behind a brick bbq we have that butts up to the fence in the corner of my yard. She hid there for awhile. At first, I didn't know she had babies until I was on the phone, dogs started barking, I saw her come out and saw a hump on her back. That's when I saw the baby. I thought it was only one. Watching her with binocs, I can see at least 3 babies. She probably has more. Amazing watching her. She's really beautiful. Mostly cream, with some gray. Her babies are mostly gray. I could see her grooming them, and I believe they were nursing, based on their position and the way their little feet were moving in her pouch. I've seen two being carried on her back, but I can also tell her pouch is full.

She has made the same circuit about 10 times now. I think she may have either hid out there overnight and is trying to move on, or she dropped a baby. May have even had them there since I've seen her for the last few weeks at night. I try to turn the light on at night and make noise so she will move along or hide and I can let the dogs out.

I just watched a little one crawl up the bbq & momma talk to it the entire way until he tried to grab mom and slipped. She went down to him.

I have xpens around my yard, so the dogs can't get to the fence line. I've got cats on one side of me and other dogs kitty corner from me. All she has to do is go one different direction and she'd be in the clear, but she keeps doing the same circle. So, she is either trying to get all her babies, or she keeps getting scared...

So, for now, I'm trying to keep the dogs locked up and the blinds pulled over our patio door so they don't see her. Hopefully she will make her way safely.

6:50pm - I have been watching Dan for a few minutes. He's vocalizing, but I don't know if it is to Cher or if something is happening with the eggs.. He's picking pebbles now. He's got 1 egg sticking out under this butt..

They just zoomed in, and as they start to zoom, Dan covers again.

Approx 8:30ish, nest exchange. There was no zoom and Cher sort of blocked the view.

I think PGE has the lights on tonight. Not sure why?? I don't think there is any sporting event going on, but it's dark here now and it's still light on the ledge. Hope it doesn't bother them. I thought it was a little weird that the ledge was still light at this hour...

Here's the ledge at 8:37pm..

thanks mwplay....

I'm not giving up yet, but my wheels are turning...I know there have been issues about the bridge nests...I seem to remember that there was talk of no longer rescuing some of these chicks that were doomed at fledge. Well, if none of these eggs hatch (and I'm not saying that's gonna happen) AND if they are able to rescue chicks, then this nest would be a great foster option...free food, free care, doting parents, etc...much better option than a hack facility or human foster...

I'm sure it would take an act of congress to do something like this..but.....ya never know!!! Even if its a .00001% chance of something like this happening, they better start now on the needed permits!!!
