NIECEY WENT INTO THE SCRAPE WITH FOOD. SHE STOOD THERE FOR A WHILE, LIKE SHE HEARD SOMETHING. ON ALERT. THEN LIL MAN WENT RIGHT UP TO HER AND ACTUALLY JUMPED UP AT HER BEAK OF FEATHERS BEFORE SHE WAS EVEN READY TO FEED. HE'S GETTING HIS SHARE NOW :-)

Getting interested in that BIG world out there! Lil Dad on the point watching over them. I'm glad that web isn't down where they can get into it!

Caught the very end of a short feeding in the scrape a bit ago. Not sure which adult was doing the feeding. One chick is out in front of the shield right now, and Lil Dad on the point keeping an eye on things.

Lil Dad was just in the scrape feeding a few leftovers. Big chick that was out in front of the shield cam in for a bit, but no more food. Looked like Lil Dad went out to sit on the stick. Big chick back out on the ledge in front of the shield, totally pancaked.

I saw that feed, too, Jane, was surprised at how little there was. I'm also surprised that they aren't all in the sunshine as chilly as it is, but they may be trying to escape the wind. They seem to be hungry cause it was a real zoo when Niecey came in with the morsel.

I CAUGHT THE VERY BEGINNING WHEN LIL DAD FIRST BROUGHT THE FOOD. IT WAS A VERY SMALL WHOLE LOOKING BIRD. HE KINDA DANGLED IT FOR A BIT IN FRONT OF THE CHICK THAT IS OUTSIDE THE SCRAPE LIKE HE WAS OFFERING IT TO THE CHICK. THEN HE STARTED TO FEED THAT CHICK AND I MISSED ALL THE REST.

It was definitely Lil Dad. Niecey is up on the shield now, and one chick outside the back door.

Am multitasking here at the moment. Don't know where Niecey went with that woodpecker. She was sounding really upset, and don't see her anywhere at the moment. All chicks back in the scrape.
