5/13/2013 :: Banding Event
The annual Peregrine Falcon banding event will be held Tuesday, May 21 at 1:00 PM in the Rachel Carson State Office Building Auditorium in Harrisburg, Pennsylvania. The event will be produced and live webcast by Commonwealth Media Services from the DEP Falcon Page. DEP is inviting teachers, with their students and non-formal educators to attend, through a pre-registration process. Biologists will weigh, examine and band the soon to be nearly four week old eyases.

NIECEY JUST CAME IN THE SCRAPE WITH FOOD TRYING TO GET THEM TO ALL COME BACK IN THE SCRAPE. SO FAR, ONLY LIL MAN AND ANOTHER WENT IN. OTHER TWO ON THE LEDGE BY THE STICK.

LIL DAD ON THE POINT DEFEATHERING ANOTHER ONE QUICKLY.

YEA! ZOOMED OUT SO WE CAN SEE AROUND THE SCRAPE NOW! WHOO HOO! :eggthumbup:

Came back from lunch and checked in to see an empty scrape! All four outside of the box now. Time sure flies with these little ones. It won't be long now.

WOW, THAT WAS STRANGE! NIECEY WAS ON THE STICK, LIL DAD LANDED ON THE POINT WITH FOOD, SHE CAME DOWN AND TOOK IT AND FLEW OFF. LIL DAD FLEW AFTER HER KACKING! I THINK HE WAS MAD THAT SHE TOOK OFF WITH THE FOOD!

Have been out most of the day today. That is a great catch of Lil Dad bringing in the food and Niecey coming for it, ljames. I also like the new views, but will miss the closeups.

A few moments ago it looked like Lil Dad flew up to the cam, but these new ones aren't mounted on brackets like the old ones were. It is possible that he landed on this heavy wire/cable thing, but if so, he's sitting there crooked. Maybe he's on the window sill around the corner. Niecey was on the stick at that time.

I DID GO ACROSS THE STREET TWICE TODAY LOOKING TO SEE IF LIL DAD WAS ON ONE OF THE CAMS. NOBODY WAS ON EITHER ONE THOSE TWO TIMES I CHECKED. THEY ARE USING THE WINDOWSILL AS A STASH SPOT FOR FOOD.
