Thank You Susan! Yes Cheryl...The pigeons gambled on nesting under the peregrine's nestbox...and their fledging young pay the price...The adults are too smart for their genetic good!

Agreed. It seems to be going faster than I care for. Maybe cause we wait so long or maybe cause we know what's coming.

So I opened the cam this eve and guess what I saw....Two little eyes looking back at me...Not 4 6 or 8...BUT 2!!!!!!

This one has Mystic's alertness COMPLETELY!

They look ready to band to me....I am putting up a pic from 2012 to compare the sizes:
Here is LULA (Female), ATTICUS (Male), BRAVERY (Male), and PEENIE (tweener)..(banded girl, but was ALL boy, rescued first, then actually fledged first, then crashed first, then began his window peeping or perhaps it was reflection admiration of himself...Will one day be located nesting in a city with many windows to admire his good looks in)...

No they are babies.This year is going much too soon.

Matrix, Peenie should have been named Narcissus. Who knows? Atticus is in Law School. He will emerge as the voice of reason. Bravery is in boot camp and will be a great defender. Lula will be a large female and a fierce Mother. Time will tell.

I SO wish I could be at the banding. Alas, my daughter got married on Saturday (Bird week, how COULD she...), and I can't take any more vacation right now.

However, I trust you'll all take lots of pictures, and maybe think of me! Last year was so much fun!

Cheryl...We have been waiting for this for a year...They grow too fast, yes, but think back to all the great parking garage conversations (till midnight lol) and scenerio's we hashed over for what....11 months now.....and look....4 healthy babies, ready for their bling...Which is more than most nests will be receiving in the future...so, while they are growing to fast for us...it's their race against time....we need to do what we can to help them succeed in the best start possible!!!!!!
