Our banding in Indy is next Tuesday. Usually John and Amy do IPL Harding Street that same day. Wonder if they will get to Ft. Wayne then...

I am not sure when banding is scheduled. After I hear from Amy with the Indiana Department of Natural Resources, I will let everyone know.

Is Indiana cutting back on the number of nests where chicks are banded? Here in Canton, OH, when Mystic and Mo's tribe were banded, we were told that we were one of only 3 places in North East Ohio that was having their chicks banded. So there are a LOT of nests whose chicks will not be banded.

TSusan...not sure about your question about Indiana..... but did you see Columbus put a silver USFW on Zoom? Now why they didn't do the Cleveland Girls with Silver... is a mystery..to me....

During the Columbus banding today, Jennifer (I think it was a person named Jennifer) mentioned that only 10 nests would be banded this year...I got the impression she was referring to the entire state...so, it appears they have really cut back!! I sure hope its a money/personnel issue and not that falcons are no longer considered important to band...That's what has happened with the eagle populations!!
