Bird Cams Around the World

WOW!!!! Was mostly calm during our rooftop visit...Mystic doing her "knock Maurice off" his perch and go hunt for me routine...While she sat on the "small" tower where she could see her babies and everything around her...
Maurice spent a good bit of time on one of the lights above the Canton Club. So Cheryl and I went to find our own meal...
No...she didn't have to knock me off to go! LOL...
During lunch we saw one of the pair partial stoop past us and out of site to the east....
After lunch we went back to the roof...Where we witnessed a food delivery by Mo...Mystic chased him down on the ledge down from the nestbox and grabbed what he had...He took off the direction he came from (east)...
She then proceeded to pluck/prep his delivery...and took it in to the nestbox...
Mo appeared back on the small tower....near the top. Mystic flew over whining...but landed in the shadow of the pole on a side arm of the antennae...and actually laid down on the arm!

They seemed settled down so we proceeded to leave...Got down to the parking lot and wouldn't you know it.....Mystic took off fast and Cheryl spotted what she was after...Turkey Vultures headed into downtown!!
Mystic dived and attacked with the fury of a falcon mother...driving the vulture behind the Huntington building...Then...as there were several vultures, she soared... circling around.... getting above the next vulture, who didn't understand...the direction he/she was headed...was the WRONG WAY!!!
Mystic dove at the vulture again...and again...
And then came Mo....He had got way above, and came down in such speed...... it is just incredible!!!...Makes the hair on your neck stand up!!! That was it for the vultures...they were out of there!!

With out missing a wingbeat....Mystic then took it upon herself to start a tandem hunt... by immediatley going into a stoop downtown...stirring up the pigeons....While Mo came in from the east....Both went after one around the Key building....then Mystic left the hunt and she HOVERED over the Key building and fake swooped to get the pigeons off the roof!!!! After they took off, she went after one toward the street soooo fast...it was hard to see!!!...
Worried about her doing that as they were car level!!!! OMG...disappeard behind a building...But came up empty on the other side...Maurice as well came up empty, and they soared around the Chase Tower and she went to the nestbox platform and he went to the antennae... whining....

Amazing speed....JUST amazing!!!

I'm glad Mystic & Mo decided to entertain you and Cheryl, Matrix! I've seen our local falcons go into stoops & it is simply awesome!

La La La...I'm going up front to peek around the corner...Maybe Jump down there!!

Photos by Matrix. Normally I would crop these but after tending to a root virus since we returned from the nest I have reached the limit I believe. Bird people are a determined lot. Guess that tells you something about birders and women. This was the scene as we arrived.



We looked around and this is when Matrix said, let's grab some lunch

Mo delivered lunch which Mystic prepared.


Mystic found the shade.


The Vulture incident was thrilling. Mo was still the last to join the fight. But when he did, he was all business. Mystic grounds them first but Mo stoops them.

SGB, the root kit virus is AKA the, You did this again Mom or the maybe you shouldn't have electronics Mom virus.
This is why Mystic keeps her feet tucked.

I am really worried about this crew Carly! They are so full of energy!

Of course I'd be saying that anyway if there were girls in the mix too...but... knowing how last year went...
OH BOY! Literally!!!

Just can't conform

"The boys" are busily preening. doing toe checks, and flapping their wings. One was front and center watching for Mom, then decided to check to see what his siblings were up to... And Another came up to scan the skies for mom. Gave a couple peeps, like muttering to himself "What's for supper?" Meanwhile MOM is enjoying the afternoon breezes - up on the roof! (you can only see a little part of her legs...)

Had just got home and we were watching at same time TSusan!!




When Mystic Left...ALL Their Heads followed her...




In my opinion...the smallest one will bail out first.....Hope it isn't for a bit though...I doubt he could get back in the box just yet....
