They seem different from last years group. They headed off the other way. This group has more of the dare devil in them. They still need to practice running and flapping and get off the lip of the box. Oh wait, we know they're all Mo's this season. :shock

That's why I said ACCIDENTAL fledge, which unfortunately does happen...but, feather wise, these boys don't look quite ready, but that's just my humble opinion...better to be safe than sorry of course!!! (I'll keep my opinions to myself from now on.. :girlcrazy: )

....and good luck tomorrow...Kids, don't go anywhere yet!!!

Everyone ok as of 4:30 pm! Mystic had not made a kill in one out of 7 tries in an hour and a half...she even let a TV pass thru.... Hope Maurice is ready and fit for this...She appeared to be struggling a bit today...the boys were acting up and she swooped and kakked at them to try to settle them down...would only go way out to hunt when they layed down or settled down....

WINDY again today...but all four looked secure in their footing...

Hopefully Mystic catches something big...and they don't try to fly out when they see her coming...

Update from Chris Saladin
Mo/Canton Update: Release tentatively planned for Monday
Talked to Laura from the MRC, Laurie from the DOW’s, and the Vet caring for Mo, Dr. Riggs and all agree that if Mo doesn’t have any setbacks over the weekend he can be released back at the site on Monday. He’s staying with the vet to avoid any potential problems with re-injury in the flight cage at the MRC and Chad and I will be picking him up and bringing him to Canton. Sorry to be inexact, but the timing remains uncertain for now, as our plan is to be a part of the fledge watch on Sunday (as well as seeing if there are any signs of an intruding male) and based on what we see we’d like to be at the site Monday morning for fledge watch again (unless they all go by Sunday). We’ll try to plan to go and get Mo as the young “settle down” and further fledging doesn’t seem imminent on Monday, and then we’ll bring him to the site from Dr. Riggs’ office hopefully in the late morning to early afternoon. We’d like for people to be able to watch and will try to post a more exact time on our FB page from my phone after we pick Mo up (Dr. Rigg’s office is about 45 minutes from Canton, so that may be the best we can do with advance notice).
