First fledge.!!!! @ 10.00am

First Fledge!! WOOHOO! So hes safe and sound? Tell them they have to save at least one fledge for tomorrow - I AM planning on coming up Monday !!

They must be very busy, SGB - On the facebook page they wrote that we had a 2nd fledge at 5:00pm, and that he is safe. No other details.... I'll bet they are having a blast!

I so wanted to be there today... but life happens and so I missed two.
I will be there on Monday for sure. I simply have to meet you and watch live and in person. Pictures can only do so much. And now I see that I can watch Mo being released as well.

WHAT a Day!! Cheryl was able to post a brief note about the two fledge's...
We are unsure who they are...
when we left a bit ago the second fledge was still having trouble staying put...Mystic Did NOT approve of his location and was swooping at something in the alley below him... that we could not figure out what it was that was bothering her...(He was the one with the down still on him....THE TROUBLEMAKER!!)
He kept sliding down the peak of the roof. He finally regained the peak..but decided to go back down the steep part...Mystic has her eye on him from the court building antennae...
The first fledge at 10 am decided the roof on the next building was not for him (4 hrs later) and he tried to get back to the Canton Club Roof....A Bit of a big order for a young boy....
He made it up to the 10th floor window and luckily it wasn't the twelth.... because that window was OPEN! There he stayed and Cheryl has a great pic of him zonked out after his escapades!!

Tommorrow is gonna be exciting!! GOOD LUCK To Maurice and all who will be in attendance...You'll have fledges and the release and the adults reunion...IT IS GONNA BE HECTIC!!!!

Thanks Matrix for the update. Been trying to get an Avatar on BCAW. No luck yet. I will miss meeting you but will love being there.

As Matrix said the first fledge occurred at 10:00 AM this morning. He flew out, circled and landed on the FirstMerit building.


He spent the next four hours there finally taking off and landing on a window ledge on the Chase Tower,

He seemed content to remain there and rest up.
The second fledge occurred at 5:00. He flew out, circled but headed in the opposite direction, misjudged the landing and ending up clinging to a smoke stack. Mystic was heading in with prey and spotted him.
She was not at ALL happy with where he was. His lecture lasted about an hour and a half. He walked to the church roof and climbed up to a higher point.

Mystic was still not pleased and he eventually moved to a spot where he was more secluded. She was in high gear chasing anything and everything that came near. She had quieted down but was on the tower where she had a good view of his situation.
C & C spent time watching today. Thanks guys it was good to see and talk with you. They felt pretty good that Mo's release is a go tomorrow morning. Glad you stopped Stephanie. It was good to spend time with you. Hope you can make it tomorrow Suzette been looking forward to meeting you in person. Tomorrow should be a busy and interesting day.

Loosing patience being "down below" his brothers and Mother above him....

Hi - I just looked at the nestbox, and no one is home.... Were the other 2 still out on the ledge when you left?

Yes they were. They were snuggled together on the ledge. They probably didn't want to go after the feather chewing their brother got from Mom. Maybe they are waiting for you and Suzette and Dad to return home.

They two that didn't fledge were on the edge of gutter.... sitting side by side...I'd Be suprised to see anyone anymore at the nestbox, TSusan.....

Here is the first fledgling's attempt to make it back up to the Canton Club roof...He made to the 10th floor....Don't have the landing shot.... as we took off running for the stairs....

OH MY...I can just feel all the excitement in all your posts!!! What a great day...and I loved all the pics and descriptions...

I sure hope that Mystic doesn't spend an hour and 1/2 blessing out Mo tomorrow....I can't wait for the next report!!!

Hey, Cheryl and Matrix, thank you so much for giving your time to these wonderful birds! I know its a labor of LOVE!!!!!! Love you pictures and your stories, guys! Hey Matrix, maybe you could sneak up on your lunch hour.. I also am looking forward to seeing everyone at the garage Tomorrow!

I see myself , at our fledge watch , when I read your reports.

Sketch (37/R) was the first to Fledge at ten am yesterday.....Ice (31/D) was the second fledge at 5 pm yesterday...Ice was the "troublemaker" all this time we've been watching the cam...as he was the one who still had the down on his wings after the others had lost theirs! LOL

Since Chad and Chris (C&C) have the better cameras and all three of us got some of the same pics..... check out C&C's pics on their facebook page!!!!


They are going to get really good coverage of the release along with the excellant coverage by Maurices' other Mom....Cheryl....and all the other Auntie's.....Susan, Suzette, Alison....

I SOOO hope Rebecca B. is able to be there.... to see the release of the Tiercel that, had she not known what to do...would have been lost.....

Let us know Canton admirerer's !! Stephanie and I will be living through you today!!!!!!!!!!

Glad fledge watch is going well & hope it continues to go well.

So glad Mo is set to be released today & look forward to him being home with his family!
