I also remember her... If SW dodges infection in her toe, she should be fine without that talon.

I sure do...Also, one of the adults at Burnsville is missing toes. Unfortunately, I didn't watch that nest much this year..just no time, so not sure if it was still there..I think it was the male...Anybody remember?

this is all good. The swelling does not mean infection. It just takes awhile for these things to heal.

SW is at her nest today too...(no pic, just a report)..
She's looking real good... sleeping as usual...Moulting heavy!!! and can see, especially, in Bev's captures!!

Thanks Carly!! I think the foot looks good! She has also been trying to remove the USFW band on the other leg as well....(it's bent back) so the captures of her pulling bands may have been a fluke that she does that anyway, to "get at itchyness" on both legs...
Dunno...but she looks good to me!! :thumbup When she (and Boomer!) finishes moulting... then we will really see her "come alive".....
