man, I hate these nest box fights . no room to maneuver. you obviously did not see fight of 2007 in Edmonton.

first fight we had witnessed. miss Edmonton and balzac girl. tears here , and heart failure. after they fell to roof of building below and continued to fight , our biologist got up on roof and separated

them and kept them overnight. Miss edmonton needed hydrating and rest as she had just returned from migration. that was back in the day. they would have fought to the death.

so you can bet this will continue outside as well or the other female may just pass on. She was not prepared. when you are already in box, you tend to be at disadvantage, most times

glad I was not here. hugs to all who were. not nice to witness. never want to see one injured

never underestimate the strength of the young ones

Carolyn...that looks good!! Instead of a 4...that looks like a "7"!!

No 27/Y reported to the data base, but there is a 27/V: 2012 hatch from WPL Edgewater Generating Station Sheboygan in Wisconsin.

My cam keeps freezing after about 10 minutes and I have to refresh. Totally missed her visit and I was recording... Dang it...

I have to keep watching the feathers on the ledge to figure out if I'm frozen or still running.

sorry, on hubbys com0puter as mine is a real mess right now, cannot record etc.

She looked good in carlys video. I blew up some photos of chest . as we saw with little dad and no name last year, the fights look worse sometimes than what they are. The other female did have some spots of blood and hopefully not too deep. \

2OR had severe injuries a few years ago at demortel and came back the next year when everyone thought she had died. ( of course we know she sucombed last year but ..)

Thanks for the great coverage this afternoon, ladies..and for the vids, mwplay...and yes..this cam drives me crazy. That's why I didn't get the end of the fight recorded...

I'm not gonna be much help until tomorrow afternoon...here's hoping that there is no more fighting IN the box. There was one point, early afternoon before I left, when Diva was on the perch and took off fast. All I could think of was she was going after the other female....and poor Zeus...I wonder what he is thinking!!!

Carly, I'm glad you saw the band number too. I could not believe how clear it was...and I could not believe I didn't get the pic!!! grrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrr..
