I do not know about here, but at our site when the young female, Balzac girl , was too young, Gord gave her dummy eggs and then one chick after. Just to give her experience and success.

and Zeus has had a brood last year so he should be able to train her

Gah! Glad that we finally have a firm ID on our girl, just wish I could actually catch them on cam! I am too busy and everywhere at work to check in, by the time I get on the computer its 7pm lol!

10:09 cam time - just opened cam to see one flying off. If I had to guess, I think it was Zeus due to coloring of feet.

ETA - Didn't see your last post Carly, so based on timing, I think it was definitely Zeus

Hi everyone, I have tried to post a few times but no luck, ( I think I made a mistake), hoping this gets through. I have sadly had almost no time for bird watching, but I do look for them when I pass though downtown. I first saw the two birds a few weeks ago, and was so excited really excited . Since then, I have noticed that there is usually one bird on the nest box beam or on top of the nest box and one bird on a corner of the County City Building. The exact corner varies. Someone was on the NE corner about an hour ago.
Matrix's picture of March 10th looks very much like the ruffled bird that I saw on the Tower Building one night last week. She was only 12-14 floors up so I got a good view, even in the dark.

I guess I missed all the excitement of last weekend since I was out of town. I will try to get in a little on ground watch time to supplement all you faithful cam viewers. Maybe I should call my boss and tell her that I can't come in to work because I have falcons to watch. She will love that.
