OH, OH! HERE WE GO AGAIN TERKA!

Brief Ground Report:

I had not seen anyone at all for quite some time, and then yesterday afternoon about 4:00 pm, I saw someone perched on the SE corner of County City Building. I think it was Zeus. I'm speculating that they may be hunting further away from downtown so as not to deplete the nearby bird population before the chicks arrive. I've got a downtown appointment Wednesday morning and I will try for another ground report then.

What with all the long distance egg moving that Scarlet is doing , perhaps she is trying to train the little ones to travel far and establish intercontinental nests.

I did see someone yesterday afternooon on the same corner of the County City Building. I have noticed that since Scarlett's arrival, both birds have more variety in which corners they choose to perch on. Also, both of them tend to perch slightly inward from the edge, which makes them look a bit smaller. However, I can see from the cam that Scarlett is not particularly small, and Zeus has not gotten any smaller since last year.

I have no more cam access, so I am hoping that other people are watching.

WE ARE WATCHING SBWATCHER... BUT SINCE SHE'S MOVED THE EGGS BACK OUT OF VIEW... YOU ONLY SEE A PART OF THE BODY OF AN ADULT LAYING ON THE EGGS. THE LAST 2 MORNS I'VE COME IN, I SEE HER BODY SHIFTING UP AND DOWN AS IF SHE'S RIDING OUT A SHUFFLE OF A BABE MOVING UNDER HER. BUT, I KNOW IT'S TOO SOON FOR THAT. WON'T BE LONG THOUGH! THANKS FOR YOUR REPORT!

EGGS BACK IN VIEW!

SO FAR SHE HAS NOT MOVED THE EGGS BACK.

Bird and eggs are still in view, although whoever is incubating the eggs is really verbal right now! Anyone know the general ETA on the eggs hatching?

Have not had much time for watching but I saw someone perched on the back of the building twice last week.other than that the only falcon I have seen is that guy in the new Captain America movie. I wonder if actor Anthony Mackie watched any falcon flight films to inspire him. Then again I think that Scarlett Johansson could definitely be inspired by that film of our Scarlett fighting with Diva in the nest box !

Hi sbwatcher - Im always glad to see your posts!! We are waiting patiently for Scarlett and Zeus' eggs to hatch.. When I first looked at the cam today, I thought no one was home, and that the eggs were gone too!! But then I saw the wing tips just barely showing.... she has moved the eggs closer to the cam again...

Guys, I say this with all love, but.... Crazy Bird! Here's a question, are the eggs heavier now than they were when she first laid them? (Are they any more difficult for Scarlett to move around?)
