Tumblina10.30 am M exited briefly - 2 eggs, 1 baby
- Holy cow - M left so fast she knocked baby across the box!
Only seeing one egg - she left so fast - others on SS saw her knock baby across floor
WEEEEEEEEE WEEEEEEEEEEE WEEEEEEEEE goes baby, CHUP CHUP CHUP goes egg.
10.38 Mom returns, lays on one egg - baby is by wall behind Moms tail - dont think M realizes it. This is too weird.
Someone has a video - they will post in RRP forum.
I'll have to WAIT (sigh) to see what happened
10.40 She is scolding, making her quack sound - still hasnt seen baby behind her :(
The egg is chupping
10.45 She still hasnt seen baby behind her. Now she is kakking again (quacking)
Maybe swallows fly too close to her box - I dunno
Michele horked something up early today. I wonder if she is sick.
10.50 am FINALLY M turns and sees baby, and I see both eggs. I hope she pulled baby under her - but I hear loud chirping - unless that is a hatchling. One egg I saw was dark brown with a white tip
10.57 NOW M picks baby up sort of and wiggles everyone into position.
BABY WAS ALONE ABOUT HALF HOUR - I hope its ok
EGG 2 is HATCHING
Perhaps I should call this baby -
TUMBLES .. lol .. Tumblina11 am Delawaerie posted on GSB SS
She picked it up with her beak, I've never seen that before
Well Del, I saw once before where a Dad falcon on another rooftop nest picked baby up and carried it back to nest after wind blew it
SS - nestlings sometimes lay on parents talons when keeping them warm, it accidently got hooked and rolled across
