I just returned from a very quiet evening watch. Arrived and Schatzi sitting quietly on the perch with no parent in sight. After about 20 minutes Kathy flew to Market Tower and perched on the Key. I thought perhaps I might see a food transfer, but I was disappointed. Kathy did leave the key flying around the building, but landed on the south side [out of my sight]. It was getting dark so I finally gave up the watch leaving Miss Schatzi still on the perch. She is there now that I am home. I do not know if she got fed or not!

I went down this morning from about 6:45 to 10ish and absolutely no action from Schatzi and only saw KathyQ come to Market Tower but we do not think she had prey. Schatzi was good about staying put, only flapping occasionally. When I left she was flat on the perch. Just now checking cam for first time since I got home and she is sitting very quietly. Not sure if I will go back down tonight, but definitely in the morning.

Yes, it is Schatzi. She only moves for food! :teehee:

Barely flapping so no telling when she will actually try to fly. I was downtown this morning for several hours and it was like watching paint dry!

that is why so many people miss so much. Falcon watching, cannot be done in a short time, unless you it it lucky. It can be hours before you see anything

how old is she. she does not look ready yet.

She hatched 4/25/2014 bev. I don't think she is ready either. Although when she fell last week Laura said once she sort of recovered, she held out her wings and did a nice glide. Schatzi is a big girl and probably not ready and she knows it!

Debating whether to go downtown this morning. Raining just a bit....
