Sorry this is so long. I think this is when Skye was contemplating whether she should fledge or not..you'll see her flapping way down at the bottom. She was playing with her food before she came into full view.

Needless to say, I was holding my breath..She had several of these "decision" moments this morning.

I was lookin g at video of rescue. we wear gloves and have a box with us to put falcon in . Gord does not need gloves. but they sure help with wounds LOL

I remember doing that with Black band last year. He got on top of a car. it si great if they are feisty.

I think Harrisburg always carries a net with them...I know Donna does too at Columbus..not sure how often they have to use it though..

We are told to have towel, gloves, etc. Steve has been doing this for 20 years, he was fine. The box is kept up by Bob on S. Temple street. The most important thing is to make sure the bird is picked up quickly. Nothing is wrong.

you are right there Lizzy. the only time I had not carried box with me , I had to run out into street, to get one.

There seems to be so much food up there, Skye could eat for days!!...but, most of the time, it seems she would prefer to play with her food than eat it!!

It sounds as though Hunter has been taken to the rehabber for a meal and some rest, after being found at the Harmon's grocery store on State Street. Hope she will be OK!

Yes, that was Steve in the red shirt. He whizzed by me like a track star to get to Heidi. She volunteered last year too, remember the photo of a volunteer climbing a scaffold and throwing a towel at Solo in the gutter? That was Heidi!! haha

Not all those people are volunteers. Those are tourists on the grounds to see the Temple and gardens. I would say we have about 10 volunteers at a time down there but yes, a group photo would be nice at some point. Everyone is camera shy though.

You can hear me in the video say "I'll just stay right here" haha, dress and flip flops not great for running.
