I THINK COLUMBUS HAD A STORM MOVE THRU EARLIER THIS EVE. THE NESTBOX WAS LIGHTING UP EVERY FEW SECONDS AND I COULD HEAR WHAT SOUNDED LIKE RUNNING WATER. HOPE EVERYBODY AND THE FALCONS ARE OKAY!

I still remember the phone call I go t that day to tell me ,before I came into cam . my heart sank .Scout was dead. I could not believe such a thing could happen. and then the new young female who came in , she was found dead on the ground.
I was just discussing this with a few friends the other day .
and Orivlle , sweet Orville.

WE here, have felt so much this year and years past. We never forget those that went before. But always have a place for the new guys on the block.

I did not think i would shed the tears I did just now watching Orivlle again.

some just do not understand the power of these wonderful raptors.and the hold they have on us

I also hope Blaze has a speedy recovery. it was what I was afraid of . We were told here that sometimes , the way they land ,or th e way they to pull up to land, puts stress on the breastbone. but it is not something she cannot recover from, with rest

Looking over the tribute for Scout and Orville; I too remember the phone calls with the terrible news about Orville (I ride the city bus that goes right by the intersection where Orville was found - I still don't understand what happened to him how he died; and then a year later Scout. I was actually in the Rhodes tower watching Spirit on top of the LeVeque tower with Trooper sitting on top - I was talking to SGB on the phone when she told me the terrible news about Scout. I was in shock to hear such horrible news. I watched as Trooper brought food to Spirit. Tears are flowing thinking about Scout and Orville; I really do miss them!!

CHECKED CAMS SEVERAL TIMES TODAY AND DID NOT SEE ANY FALCONS. HOPE ALL OF THEM ARE DOING OKAY AND BLAZE IS DOING WELL IN REHAB. :flirty:

I stopped the recorder after this so I could start a new one. I shouldn't have. Spark Takes off with Durand right behind him. then a fly by...Durand returns almost immediately..

so.....one of the kids discovers their location? Unwanted visitor too close to the ledge? Who knows..Durand is still on the ledge, box end.

Durand is now up on the nest box sitting with her back to the world - she just wants to be left alone I guess

Now I hear sweet squeaking - perhaps it is Spark on the ledge now - now sure where Durand has gone off to - I went to check on them and while I was typing it appears that both are gone now - hard to keep track of them

WHEN I CAME IN I DIDN'T THINK ANYONE WAS THERE, BUT THERE IS. I'M THINKING DURAND, BUT I DON'T KNOW FOR SURE. THEY ARE TO THE RIGHT OF LEDGE CAM AND OUT OF VIEW. EVERY NOW AND THEN YOU CAN SEE A WISP OF FEATHER FLUFF OR A VERY, SMALL PART OF THEM. :flirty:

yes, rosekk...Durand was on top of the box, Spark landed, Durand left from top of box, Spark left. Since then, Durand landed again and is to the right of the ledge cam..occasionally, she pops into view..(at least I think its her...LOL)

FINALLY, SHE TURNED AROUND AND I CAUGHT A GLIMPSE OF HER FACE. LITTLE TUFTS OF WHITE FLUFF STICKING OUT HERE AND THERE. THEN SHE BOLTS BACK ACROSS THE LEDGE AND TO HER PREVIOUS HIDING SPOT! WE LOVE YOU DURAND NO MATTER WHAT YOU LOOK LIKE!!! :teehee:
