1123CDT :egg16: DON'T KNOW WHAT HAPPENED, BUT WHILE I WAS VIEWING @ THIS TIME SCREEN ABRUPTLY TURNED BLACK AND I AM UNABLE TO GET BACK. TRIED DIFFERENT BROWSER, REFRESH, ETC AND NOTHING WORKS. PRIOR, ADULT WAS JUST OUTSIDE THE NEST AND MALE CHICK IN LEFT CORNER WHILE FEMALE CHICK WAS DEVOURING PREY. :egg17: HOPE WE DON'T HAVE ANOTHER POWER OUTAGE!

Ground report: Our guys were out yesterday afternoon, one on top of the nest box and one on the building corner. Looked like they were enjoying the weather and probably an afternoon break from hunting. Will report again soon. :egg19:

Nice catches, guys ! SGB's photo: it's interesting to see both a black and a white bird in the same nest ! :teehee:


Ground report: Yesterday afternoon saw the 2 parents flying right over my head, with beautiful golden brown undersides. They circled around with some vocalizing. Today an adult was sitting on the building and then on the nest box at about 11:45 a.m.

So excited that we have two lovely chicks ! :sum9:

1310CDT :egg15: I HAVE BEEN ENCOUNTERING BLACKOUTS FROM THIS SITE @ INTERVALS SINCE THIS PREVIOUS WEEKEND. IT WILL BE DOWN FOR MAINTENANCE THIS SUNDAY MORNING AND I HOPE THE SITUATION IMPROVES. RIGHT NOW I DO NOT SEE ANY SIGNS OF THE FALCONS AND AM WONDERING IF THEY ARE ON OUTER RAIL JUST ABOVE PORCH LEVEL AND JUST NOT IN VIEW. I HAVE NOT CALCULATED THEIR EXPECTED FLEDGE TIME, BUT WILL BE DOING SO. A LITTLE SURPRISED ... I DO NOT SEE @ LEAST A PART OF ONE! :egg16:

No power outages in South Bend that I know of. Storms were not severe. Someone guarding the nest this evening and yesterday I think I saw Scarlet.
