Well it's melting fast but is it going out fast?

Ok, I think that I can actually see drops coming out.

Here are the parents.
They seem pretty calm.

I just hobbled on down there and walked around the North and West sides of the buidling. Am guessing that the Watchers may have been gathering/meeting inside somewhere. It is only 10:45AM but already 88 degrees... relative 92 degrees... and hot! The juvies were really active in the cage which is easily visible to the naked eye from ground level.

They know they are getting outta there today....

Just got a phone call from Barb...
Everything is in place and ready to go...
They have at least 5 biologists at different stations and
the quickest we will see anyone leave is approx...45 minutes ...

Everyone have walkie-talkies and it is very HOT!!!

I feel sorry for the people who are down there for these babies in the heat. That just shows what real dedication to these birds is! Cheers for the Watchers! :bravo :yip :thumbup :thankyou :toast

Usually the juvies fledge one at a time giving the parents time to cope, but all three of these could go at once. Glad they have some backup in the form of humans.

Barb called to share with us that they have a table, chairs and cool water station setup inside the buidling, and that the park across from the building (from where Barb takes many of her awesome pics) is where she is stationed and that it has decent shade-tree coverage. Still... it is hot.

I could just see Arnold climbing up and yanking on the shoelace that's coming out of the bottle.

FROM WHAT I SEE, IT DOESN'T LOOK LIKE THE WATER HAS TO COME OUT OF THE BOTTLE. JUST THE ICE TO MELT AND THE STRING TO COME OUT THE BOTTLE WITH THE WEIGHTS ON IT, THAT WILL RELEASE THE DOOR. PROBABLY VERY VERY SOON! THEY MIGHT COME OUT RIGHT AWAY, BUT I CAN'T REALLY SEE THEM FLYING RIGHT OFF AT FIRST.

LOL. And we should have started a poll to see who would be "first out of the gate." My bet's on Arnold!

My bet is on Arnold, too, & I think he'll go within the 1st hour, little sister shortly thereafter, & big sister may even wait a day or 2.
