Thanks bonbon...I have a good mind to email Art (can't remember his last name)..he's the biologist that banded the Harrisburg, PA chicks the other day. I'm not sure if Pittsburgh is in his area..but.....there's a "contact DEP" on the HBG page. I've used it before when concerned about a HBG chick..

Wonderful post Mary Anne! I've tried to look in on other sites today but my thoughts keep going back to Pittsburgh and the baby who is suffering! I am so sad!

I sent a short but clear message there. But of course , by the time they decide, it will be too late.

I cannot tell you how sick I am about all of this. I cannot even think straight. Their line of thinking is all wrong. and if this does not end well, I will not be watching any of their cams again

I f Dorothy would just leave it , it would have been upright by now. It needed the chance. I am afraid it will be too weak now. I am not watching, as it breaks my heart. I will never get attached to a site again, only my ones in Edmonton. and even then, I am torn.

I just looked at the cam... Mom was trying SO HARD so help him... it looks like the chick has some kind of a "sore spot" (bedsore) on his back. The chick is still feisty....
I'm going to post a picture on next post so if someone doesn't want to look- scroll past real fast.

That's his crop, Bonbon. I also thought it was a sore at first, but when I looked closer, I saw that it is his crop. Its kinda flopped over to the side. Did you notice Dorothy piling up pebbles behind him when his head was up? :clap:

Yes, he's still working really hard at getting up. I've thought when I've seen Dorothy looking up that she was praying. :eggsmile:

5:39pm - She is Wonderful! It's like she stops every few seconds to let him catch his breath.
