Thanks for contacting the Game Commission, Carly! If you're unsure of whether you got the right place, I'm sure Reenie would know & would also know who to contact that would be likely to do something. Reenie does know about this, because I saw her posts on FB last night.

I think this chick should be looked at and deserves to be looked at! It is the right thing to do. I do not agree with nature taking its course here at Pittsburgh. :cryinggirl:

I just don't know what to say here. I had so much hope and am so sorry to see little one like this. At 2:56pm ET, seems baby is breathing heavier, but could be because Dorothy is brooding over his face/head.

I just hope baby isn't in any pain.

Dorothy is such a good Mom. I know she's trying and has stayed with her baby.

I had seen a post earlier about Dorothy using pebbles to try to build up the area around the baby to help him turn--I had thought she was eating pebbles because she was upset. She was just doing this again & it was very clear that she was using her beak to knock pebbles down around baby. What a smart lady she is! :clap:

Thanks bonbon...I have a good mind to email Art (can't remember his last name)..he's the biologist that banded the Harrisburg, PA chicks the other day. I'm not sure if Pittsburgh is in his area..but.....there's a "contact DEP" on the HBG page. I've used it before when concerned about a HBG chick..

I sent a short but clear message there. But of course , by the time they decide, it will be too late.

I cannot tell you how sick I am about all of this. I cannot even think straight. Their line of thinking is all wrong. and if this does not end well, I will not be watching any of their cams again

I f Dorothy would just leave it , it would have been upright by now. It needed the chance. I am afraid it will be too weak now. I am not watching, as it breaks my heart. I will never get attached to a site again, only my ones in Edmonton. and even then, I am torn.
