I just looked at the cam... Mom was trying SO HARD so help him... it looks like the chick has some kind of a "sore spot" (bedsore) on his back. The chick is still feisty....
I'm going to post a picture on next post so if someone doesn't want to look- scroll past real fast.

That's his crop, Bonbon. I also thought it was a sore at first, but when I looked closer, I saw that it is his crop. Its kinda flopped over to the side. Did you notice Dorothy piling up pebbles behind him when his head was up? They got so close (again) to getting him upright.

(It's like Mom is looking at the cam and saying, "Give me a hand here, will you?"
I think the bottom pic shows his poor sore back.)

Yes, he's still working really hard at getting up. I've thought when I've seen Dorothy looking up that she was praying.

Just called, and the woman said, "Yes Ma'am, We've had reports. Thank you for calling."

She's apparently feeding him again. He knows he's not supposed to eat in that position, so feeding time is one of the times he tries the hardest. :flirty:

I'm just a little leery of making too much of a stink because instead of getting help for the baby, they might choose to shut the cam off instead. :eggsad:

Camera Update 5/25/15:

The peregrine falcon chick at the Cathedral of Learning is not doing well. We have removed the camera while we assess this situation. If you choose to view images from the nest you may still do so by clicking on the "Alternate Nest View" photo below. For the time being, you may access information via Kate St. John's Bird Blog linked below. We will provide more information tomorrow and determine whether to continue to stream the cam. Thank you.

Do you think they are having second thoughts about looking in on the chick? I pray they do........

I still have the cam. Its been on all day. Maybe you only lose it if you leave & try to come back. :egg16:

I doubt they will do anything other than keep us from watching. That's what I was afraid of. Its happened before with other cams.
