Is it just me, or does this chick have a lot of dark areas under his wings, in his armpits, etc? If he has parasites he could be anemic, which certainly would make him weak.

I noticed that too & SGB was talking about that happening at another nest.

I thought Dorothy & the baby had stayed in one place for a long time, only to find out that they disabled the cam link from the Aviary site. Went to another link & got this:

9:19am - S/he (I think...) managed to make it over to the back wall, had a nice pooper, and is sitting... (easy to fall in love with this little one)...

this is what I have been saying all along. I watched her 2 days ago drag him back to center when it wandered off, and shove hi under her. when we had this years back in Edmonton( chick constantly brooded when big), we thought it was cute but at same time, the box is not that big , so it could not have gone far anyway, and we just did not notice . I just wish I had kept the recordings I had here but at time thought nothing of it.

I had nice reply back form one email I sent , giving me an address to contact. the negative I can handle.
