I think it was hot and humid there last night. Going to be another stinker today with high temp forecast to be 88º. They really need to stay hydrated.

Hi Guys,

I have been busy lurking here, dodging storms, caring for kids and one very loving cat who has needed extra attention this week, and also ......
a bit of falcon watching :egg13:

I'll be posting in more detail next week, but everyone can rest assured that while the juvies may be ledge hopping, Mom Maltese is frequently close by (and sometimes on top of the nest box) keeping an eye on the eyasses. Zeus is also often seen on the building. It's been great to see the little heads and bodies sticking out on the ledge. :egg17:

Hot and intermittent storms here but the birds don't need much notice to keep out of them. Yes gigi, the birds need to stay hydrated but so do we and our feline friends. It's a good time to feed wet pet food and maybe add some water to mashed up sardines for a summer treat.

All 4 were awake and standing and moving around. Then, one by one 3 have hopped up to the deck. The 4th one keeps tucking his head over his shoulder as if he may sleep in the nest ... seeing as how he has it to himself.

I used the DVR to get a head count..

I had to go back to the beginning of the feed for the head count...there are 3 in the box..it took a minute or 2 before #4 appeared..

Looks like we have a hot, uncomfortable juvie here, too - (like Fort Wayne's). This one was just plain lounging at first, but then got up to give her wings a flap, and now she's panting....
