That backwards feed was tough to watch. Still, the babies seemed to get some. If those other two eggs are going to hatch, I sure wish they'd hurry, time is ticking.

I agree. I'd be perfectly content with 2 healthy chicks here. There have been problems with enough food in past years, so 2 would be good! :clap:

I am happy with 2 also. but this one may be put aside to make it closer to last egg to hatch. I have seen radisson do this.

but at this point 2 is great :7val: :7val:

this is why i do not like to see big clutches. I know it is insurance as far as nature goes, but for me :egglaugh": less is better. Not as nerve wracking , figuring out if every mouth is fed :egg17:

Great pictures.

Just so everyone knows, it's HOT today... hottest day of the year so far. Should be in mid 90's in San Jose. Tomorrow we should see a drop of about 15 degrees, then possible rain Friday/Sat.
