Well I have been watching for days now, I am going to say in my opinion that there is only 1 chick.
I just watch a feeding and you can clearly see the food only go into the 1 chicks mouth. Since the first hatch there has been nothing that even slightly looks like another. (not even the poo stains) :teehee:

Go the archive and you'll see the parents are still in the box during that time the cam was zoomed out. At least one eyas.

The falcons are used to all the hubbub going on and the construction is not right next to the tower with the nestbox.

Wonder why one egg is pushed to the edge of the nest, & also why she isn't incubating?
:egg16:

Note: She went into the nest briefly & is now perched on the edge of the box.

Edit: I think I answered my own question. I think this bird is a juvie & the female who laid the eggs isn't.

Now the eggs are being incubated, except for the 1 at the edge. Don't know about what I was seeing earlier, but we might want to pay attention to this.

This is the same one I saw earlier. Her leg looks like it has juvie markings, but I'm not sure that's the case. At any rate, she's still acting strange. A couple of minutes ago, she was incubating two eggs in the back of the box & the other 2 are uncovered. Now that I'm seeing her body, I still think she has juvie markings. :egg16:

The one that I've been seeing this afternoon isn't the same as the one in the capture SGB captured. This one is banded & the other wasn't. Wonder what's going on? :egg16:

It's definitely a juvenile intruder, banded b/r D/45. Pretty bold, too ... scared Mom right off the eggs. Intruder moved the eggs all around and has been in and out of the box alot.

Edit: Mom has been back a couple times but not getting all the eggs together yet. Keep watching!

Glad you & Carly are seeing this, too. It seems like the adult is in the nest part of the time, but its kind of strange that she isn't incubating all of the eggs. Maybe its because the juvie just has her so upset. I see the last cam update shows her on 3 of the eggs.

I think mom may be back, got up for a minute and back now to see someone moving that 4th egg from the corner to the others.

YES! Mom got them back together! Let's hope no damage was done and the intruder is gone!
