Cam is back and an adult, male i think, is in the scrape. No sign of shells or eggs, so all must be underneath him.

Hi Carly- thanks for the heads up! The cam seems to refresh only when it feels like it...while I was watching it did a 1 minute, a 2 minute, and a 4 minute refresh. I wish I could just park myself in front of the cams and watch BUT I've been called to substitute teach so much lately that my house is a total disaster. Got to get things done! So I peek in when I can.....

Babies in view- I believe still 2 chicks and 2 eggs.... Hmm next catch parent is feeding them, but standing in the way of a good look.

Mom just finished a feed and plopped right back on the chicklets....

YAY! Cam is working again. Refresh is still a little erratic....

The kids are hanging out with a parent. One baby is standing very close to the parent. Lots of snuggling. The other is being quite independent. It is several inches away from parent, just hanging out near the wall of the nestbox. Just gave the parent the sweetest look....

The cam is running quite well this evening. It refreshes, but irregularly- ranging from 8 seconds to more than a minute... A very different scene with the family tonight. Both little ones are in close to momma, and she is hugging them proudly with her wings . Has there been any confirmation as to mom's ID?

I've been able to keep my eye on this family for a couple hours this evening. At first the chicks were just sleeping (and wiggling). Finally they both woke up, looking around for mom. In she comes with a nice-size piece of prey. She vigorously tears off some pieces, ready to feed. Politely the chicks come over and feed for a short while. I'm wondering "What's wrong? Feeding time is usually a free for all?" Then one of the chick turned so I could see it better- It's crop was HUGE! No wonder he wasn't hungry! The chicks both kind of slumped over, ready to fall asleep again. And if I was able to post pictures, I would have posted mom leaning over her chicklets with a piece of prey, putting it right up to their beak....and I'm pretty certain I heard her say " Sure you can't eat just one more bite?"
I have not heard if CPF has confirmed the ID of the female. It was hard to see her band, except to tell its black and red. I do think I could make out an E on the band.....
