BANDING DAY
May 5, 2016 Thursday shepnotes

Ky 4 babies banded May 4 2016
Video and article had no banding info, I did take screen shot.
She held up a silver band I cant read - maybe 47
So I suspect one is K47 and one is K48 - no article or video gives band IDs

Two female and two male chicks began hatching in April.
They are expected to take their first flight soon.

.I actually do have a source at the nest if she is still there...I bugged her enough about the crisis...was it 2 years ago? I'll have to see if I still have her email..

Routine Check-up here, and I only see three eyases. Maybe one is under cam view.

Edit...Fourth head just popped into view from bottom of cam in the blind spot, so All is well.

Yes one is 3/4 under cam
One likes it right in the doorway

At 1pm there were four, with one out on the railings of the porch. At 4pm I am only seeing three. Red Crane is back, and as I was typping this it is gone again

Stinker number 4 is Laying on the front part of the box lip (outside) I just saw a head pop up!

The 3 are standing at the doorway just like Mom always did
one is under cam
We WANT them to fledge!

One fledged sometime between 9am and 12:45pm today!!!
Four were there around 9 then I got home and 3 are left!
Food drop just a little bit ago, by the father, and the gigantic girl and two boys are there.
