The youngsters are acting pretty rowdy this morning. Maltese is having trouble keeping them tucked in.

Boy, I'll say these guys are rowdy! It's a very pleasant looking day, but Maltese is trying to keep them with her for a little mother-child bonding time. The two eyases in front want to get away. Maltese tries to hug them with her wings but they wriggle out. She even grabbed one's wing with her beak to pull him/her back, but it took off the minute she let go...

A nice feeding. I swear when I clicked the screenshot all three heads were showing. Still only 3.

When I got on the cam, Maltese was working to tear pieces off the prey she was holding in her talons. The babies kept snoozing until I think Maltese vocalized a little. Then it was a mad rush to get to mom!

Temperature at South Bend is a chilly 45 degrees (on May 15th !!!!). Mom is holding her chicks close with her wings around them.
