Jackson County, MI banded three chicks today. Not sure of sex or bands numbers yet, but here is a news article with pictures. They had a naming contest and chose:

DERMYER for a former Jackson police officer who was killed while working as a Virginia State Trooper.

HENRY for Henry Ford Allegiance Health, based in Jackson.

HINKLEY for Hinkley Bakery, a Jackson business since 1913.

I'm thought I was only seeing 3 chicks today at Grand Haven, but now that I look again, there might be 4. I caught a feed this morning & mom was blocking, so I couldn't tell then. Now that the chicks have changed position, I see that there are still 4! :eggbounce:

Jackson County 2 boys 1 girl

Dermyer is named after the former Jackson Police Officer Chad Dermyer, who was killed March 31 during his duties as a Virginia State Police Trooper. Henry is named in honor of Henry Ford Allegiance Health, based in Jackson. Hinkley is named after Hinkley Bakery, which has been family-owned and operated since 1913.

I guess its due to the size difference in these chicks that the small one is able to "hide". There have been a number of times that I've spent up to half an hour watching this cam to try to see 4.
