Bird Cams Around the World

I suspect that 3rd video is the male and he has malars like the new guy, not a full hood like Spark. He's looking more comfortable on the ledge. Sigh! I'm finding it hard to accept that Spark may be gone. I just hope he's OK and safe somewhere.

Durand is on the ledge.....She has just been sitting there quietly for 10 minutes, now- but her head is constantly looking for. ???

Hi Carly! I just logged in to see Durand on the ledge. Low, quiet chups....and she flew off. I know what you mean about the possibility of there being yellow tape. In one of Sky's earlier pics of, I also thought there was something on the R leg, given the way the sun was reflecting off it.

She's on the ledge again...e-chupping.

She's sitting quietly near the ledge cam...looking around. Stayed about 5 min and left.

Someone on the ledge again. Very quiet. Didn't even hear the arrival...I was too busy reading Canton's Facebook page about the Canadian juvenile that visited the Canton skies over Ohio, which Carly mentioned. Congratulations to our Canadian friends! It's always nice to see a youngster doing well after dispersal. Given the markings, it is believed to be Marta. Mystic escorted her out...quickly.


I think this is Durand perched on the ledge by the box. She seems to be staying close to the nest today...maybe a lot of migrants in the area? She is also rather quiet. She took off quietly at 10:50 am.

Heading outside to do some gardening, so won't be able to monitor the cams for most of the day. All quiet on the ledge right now. Have a great day!

Well, just came inside for a snack and checked the cams....someone is perched on the nest cam.

3:37 pm - Durand on the nest cam.

OK, just saw someone fly off the adjacent ledge to the nest ledge. Durand jumps off the cam into the nest. He jumps up to the top of the nest box,...as usual. Will not join her in the box.

3:48 pm - Durand is in the box while he's on the roof.


3:56 pm - the stand-off continues. She's in the box, he's on the roof.

3:58 pm - Durand wondering what he's doing up there before she takes off.


4:00 pm - She comes out of the box onto the ledge and leaves. This time...he does not follow her. He is still on the roof.

Thanks Bev, I was able to capture some pics. I'll have to post them later. He is quite comfy up there.

4:13 pm - He's still there.
4:14 pm - I think he just roused. You could hear it on the roof and see his feathers fluff out. He is relaxed.
4:48 pm - He's still there.
4:50 pm - I don't see him anymore.

I need to finish what I was doing outside, so I have to leave.

Carly, looks like he was on the roof for a good hour. Durand had no problems leaving him there.

Wait a minute...I think he's still there. He's on the back of the roof! Or else...am I looking at all the smudges on the cam....lol. Am I seeing 2 falcons on the roof? I don't know what I'm seeing!

He's still there. He never left. He's just moving around.

5:09 pm - I keep seeing the white markings on his face and neck popping in and out. It is so hard to see with the glare and rain spots on the lens. Oops...I hear him moving up there.

I really have to run...Bev, was just on. Maybe she is recording.

just getting ready to process just a wee bit of him coning on ledge. he did not come from around the corner.

and a bit of when she was in box . the nest cam showed her leave bu my ledge cam never showed her leave ledge. strange

He is still there as of 5:54pm

did best I could with sound, even when I turned off sound on all my cams it was still there

OK, checking back quickly before I head out again. Bev, if you were recording while Durand was perched on the nest cam, a bird is seen leaving the adjacent ledge and flies to the left out of view. Shortly thereafter, he appears on the nest ledge. Sorry for my poor choice of words earlier. He didn't fly around the corner from one ledge to the other. It looked like he flew out and then later came back onto the nest ledge...if it's the same bird. I suspect it is.

I am going to post a video of even before all this happened . it is mostly the sounds you hear without anyone showing I ma posting both cams as Durand was in front of box and we could not see her.
