I check in here several times a day, and got pretty misty looking at this morning's pictures. Obviously the mystery falcon is an adult, and I don't think there are any bands, either. Looks like a big male if that's what he (hopefully) is. How could an unattached male pass up a beauty like Scout? And don't they do the camera work on these sites from inside? I can't imagine anyone taking a chance of disrupting Peregrine nesting.

Here's what Donna posted on Friday:

Early next week we will be replacing the nestbox camera and experimenting with settings on the ledgecam to help lighten up the back corner behind the nestbox to make for better viewing in the afternoon hours. While we're on the ledge we hope to see two falcons flying by!

Well, since we can't tell Donna NOT to go on the ledge..maybe defending the ledge from Humans will strengthen their bond...

:omg I just got up, yep a little late this morning. I can not tell you how overjoyed I was to see the photos. I just saw Scout in the box and went to post the picture and saw no posts, or so I thought then realized there was a new topic. :spingirl:

Hopefully the activity this week won't be too disruptive. It will be nice to get a new nest cam with proper colors. The blue feet thing creeps me out.
