9:58 am~current locations~2 on the upper ledge, 2 on the lower ledge and nobody is taking a nap..

Somebody made it onto the top of the nest box cam!

All four chicks are in this picture. The last one's feet can be seen standing directly behind the chick on the platform.

Breakfast has just finished for all 4...

This was breakfast..I was wrong, #4 never attended but stayed on the lower ledge..

They are changing soooooo fast. I see that one does not have much fluff remaining and wow,...already up on the nest cam! The box roof will be next. I always want to see them practicing take-off and landings from the box roof before fledge. Practice makes perfect. I can't believe we are at that time already. Three of them are 36 days old today and baby is 34 days. :nervous:

Its been so hard to get decent pics this year..mostly because the kids just park themselves in from of the ledge cam and that's all I see...and then when they finally move, ya have to peer between all the spots on the lens...I must say, for the first time, I have no clue how many females..and how many males!! :girlcrazy:

Its interesting how 3 seem to stay together and 1 seems to be away from the "group"...is it the same one each time? I have no clue..

Anyway, a few more from today...I had to leave, so hopefully everybody stayed where they should at bed time..

I plan to at least be around downtown tomorrow, early morning and after work for awhile and on Sunday - my Saturday has been spoken for unfortunately with family events. I am thinking about taking Monday morning and maybe Tuesday morning as vacation hours to check out the flledge progress. Has anyone seen any wing,feather development that may call out that there might be a flight risk? Once again, I am calling out for help.

Hi Rose. No feather issues seen this year. The kids look great. I tried to recruit someone I know, who lives in Columbus Ohio to join you on fledge watch, but she doesn't do well in the sun and heat. I wish I lived closer. Thanks for stepping up to monitor these kids from the ground. We so welcome your observations. You were so helpful last year.

Thanks for checking in with us, rosekk!!! And thanks so much for your willingness to be boots on the ground for these kids...Boy, do I wish I lived closer..I'd be right with you!!

I agree with Nadia..so far, feathers look great..I have noticed on the fluffiest chick, some of the feathers are still coming out of their sheath, which seems normal to me...

As of 3:20~all 4 kids are on the ledge and nobody is acting crazy like they were earlier...LOL

I will have on and off viewing time for the next couple of days...No viewing time Sunday Morning, very limited viewing on Monday and Tuesday..so, hopefully others will be watching.

I have noticed fewer food drops and there has been the occasional parent fly by...I think we've all noticed its very hard to get a sense of what's going on when the kids are blocking the ledge cam..so, when that clears, I just hope everybody is still there...

Still lots of fluff

It's hard to see with all the water spots in the way, but there is a baby on top of the nest box! Or at least there was... breakfast is now being served on the ledge.

I have seen all four chicks this morning, but I didn't get a picture.
