I am! Having trouble uploading the photo but one of the juvies is currently sitting on a crane next to the Riffe building. Doesn't look to be in distress, although that is kind of low to the ground. I'll keep trying to get the photo up.

Haven't been able to see anything from my floor, otherwise.

This is very difficult on mobile! The file is too big so you'll have to copy and paste the link. This was taken around 7:55 am this morning.

Good morning everyone - thank you so much SGB for the great pictures of the 8 Building. I will be able to show you where the bird is sitting as of this morning at 7:00 am when I got on the bus.

I wawas getting off one bus and right away heard a scream/call from what I hoped was not on the ground. I had to wait for a few minutes to hear it again. After watching the building for about 10 minutes, I finally spotted the bird - looking at the first picture that SGB posted - it is sitting on the lower roof to the right of the tallest roof (with the #8) right in the middle of the ledge facing Broad Street. I would put an X on the building if I knew how to do it. I was so excited to find it.

I did not hear or see anyone else but only had a few minutes to get on a bus to head to work.

For posterity. Blurry pics before the fledge. I left the time on the pics and I wasn't recording the box cam.

I started recording at 5:30 am. No parent visits (so far) and no other birds leaving from any ledge visible via the cam.

first kid finally makes it out of the box...lots of flapping

2nd finally comes out of the box.

They eventually discover left overs and a brief tug-o-war follows...Pics wouldn't tell that story.

Image

The victor makes its way toward the ledge cam. The "loser" is the one that fledged later.

The "soon to be fledge" makes its way to the other end.

Hops up on the box

It made several trips back into the box before moving to the Launch pad

After a brief rest, #4 has been doing lots of flapping and head bobbing. I hope it doesn't go anywhere today..

Unfortunately, its a lot later than I thought..and I must get ready to leave!!! YIKES..

My husband took it on the way into work (he's also a state employee but in the Lazarus building). I'm not sure exactly where he was located when he took it. The Riffe is the one on the southwest corner of the statehouse - right below the red box you have on the aerial photo.

This is great, now we have accounted for 2 of the fledglings - I will pass this on to Perk - maybe she can at least look on her way through downtown - that would be a good place - on the Rife or next to it - I hope it is not too low but better than the ground - :-) thank you for the picture. I will have to post mine from home later this evening - not taken on a phone.

:eggthumb: Wow...another fledge and sightings. Such great news! I don't have enough thanks for all those on the ground and on cam watching out for our babies. I find it interesting that the kids in general seem to end up in areas south and west of the Rhodes Tower. I wonder if the parents direct them toward the parkland by the river? Anyone keeping a lookout from the northwest corner or west side of the statehouse grounds would probably have a good vantage point, if they allow people to sit there with binoculars...lol. It's going to be another really hot day there today (89 degrees expected), so the kids may sit tight until late afternoon.

:grwelcom Welcome Dale! I don't have cam access from the office, but with the hot sun on the ledge this time of the day, it's possible the remaining chick is in the shady corner on the lower ledge adjacent to the ledge cam, but out of view. They like to hang out over there. Yesterday, the two remaining chicks were off cam a good part of the mid-day period.

PS - Thanks Beth for the update from Donna. :eggthumb:
