Sycamore is back on the 31st floor. He made his way to the ledge right in front of the nest box and he and his brother have been flapping their wings like crazy. Giving us a heart attack

It was a bit of a long day. Just as Frank and I were leaving for breakfast I received a call that A/42 was found on the ground last night and was at animal control. So much for my breakfast. I retrieved him and dropped him off at rehab for a check up and then headed to see Wonder Woman with some friends. After movie and a late lunch I picked him up to take downtown.

Right before his release. We interrupted his dinner which I also put in the gutter.

After release. He immediately headed back to the box area. I think he was showboating a bit.

Boy, they've kept you busy this year, gigi....but its a good busy!! (I hope)...nice to have kids back in this box...even if they aren't cooperating!!

What a day and evening. We had several patrol members downtown throughout the day with me taking the evening shift.
AND IT WAS A GREAT DECISION!!!
All have left the building with Una being the last. One of the first things to mention is that this family of 5 were all accounted for. The kiddos all cruising the ledge and at one time we had a roof hopper.

But wait! The best is yet to come!
One of the boys has fledged! :sum9:

I saw two birds in the air doing what I thought was a food transfer with one of them landing on the balcony of the 29th floor. Looking closer I realized I was looking at a juvie, not an adult, so what I though was a food transfer was more than likely an assist by a parent. Another flight, this time landing the 25th floor balcony Hmmmm. Not acting like an adult at all. Doing that little cockroach walk and flapping like an excited kid. But I still was not convinced I was witnessing a fledgling flying. After about 10 or 15 minutes the 25th floor bird took off for a flappy trip to the Salesforce Tower with an adult flying in and assisting once again as he turned to return to Market Tower. Landed very nicely back on 31, heading to the area of the box. That flappy flight was definitely the way a youngster flies, but the landing was pure Sully, one of our 2009 hatches named for the great Captain Sullenberger!
It just does not get any better than this! :flirty:
