:1snowmancarrot: Five weeks old and looking good. These kids watch everything Mom & Dad does.

1054 am - Romeo brought in a huge awkward stick with multiple branches. He struggled with it for quite a long time while the kids watched. Mom & Dad are raising the crib rails.
Image

1105 am - Romeo got hungry after all ths nest renovations and shared some fish with Sky. It always amazes me how fast the kid's feathers grow in. What a change from last week.
Image

1115 am - Spirit facing left and Sky facing right. :15heartbeat:

Thanks Gigi. I really love watching this nest and they have such a terrific cam. I got lucky with the close-ups...I just happened to be watching when they zoomed in. Here's some more from today. The eaglets are really starting to look like eagles.

1150 am - A much more regal pose of Juliet. She is so beautiful.
Image

551pm - Sky (the older eaglet)
Image

555pm - Spirit
Image

601pm - Just before getting tucked in for bed by Juliet. Spirit on the left, Sky on the right.

It was something to watch Juliet put the kids to bed. After I took the last pic, Spirit got up and vocalized that chittery sound that eaglets make. Juliet was on a branch and responded by coming to the nest. She fluffed the moss next to the eaglets and Spirit lay down at her feet, tucking his head underneath her and nibbling at her toes. Maybe Spirit wanted some TLC. Juliet covered the eaglets in moss and looked like she wanted to get down to brood, but the eaglets are too big. Once she had them all tucked in for the night, she moved to her roosting branch. It was really precious to watch. A mother's love. :15heartbeat:

That putting-to-bed story is so sweet! :flirty: Thanks for sharing it along with close-ups of the quickly changing youngsters.

:1snowmancarrot: Thanks Loza...this is such a fun nest to watch. :loveheart2:

7 weeks old this weekend. The kids are so aware of anything flying overhead...tracking the sky and watching intently. Perhaps Romeo was soaring above with a flight lesson. Inside the nest, Juliet was obsessed with allopreening the eaglets. She would gaze at their backs, cock her head, and crane her neck as she gave each eaglet a visual inspection. When she saw something out of place, she moved in to preen. Sky didn't seem to mind. Even when Juliet lifted the eaglet's wing repeatedly as she pulled feathers through her beak. However, Spirit did not like it one bit. At one point, Spirit snapped at Juliet to get her to stop and then looked a little sheepish after doing so. Don't bite the beak that feeds you. The kids are growing so fast and will be branching before we know it. Today, I noticed Juliet ambling up one of the tree trunks supporting the nest to a perching spot and I had the distinct feeling she was showing the kids a safe route out of the nest. She is a terrific Mom. Such a marvel to watch.

1133am - Juliet watching Sky self-feed some left-over squirrel.
Image

1145am - Juliet allopreening Sky and pulling on her wing. Sky didn't mind at all and just kept eating.
Image

1158am - Overhead view of Juliet allopreening Sky.
Image

145pm - Sky on the right.
Image

245pm - Spirit
Image

255pm - Sky's wing draped over Spirit's back during a wing stretch. Beautiful flight feathers growing in.
Image

257pm - One parent was vocalizing, which caught the eaglets attention. Spirit in the foreground.
