The male was on the ledge and went in the box for a minute or so as well.

Both flew in, but he went to the other ledge., You can just see his tail.

Happy Monday!

Well, it seems MM is keeping Scout well fed. It seems over last few days when I've been able to tune in, Scout has been eating!

Loved the pictures over the weekend of tug o' war.

You know he is a handsome fellow BUT his eating habits are bad! bad! bad!
He's going to start teaching Scout those terrible table manners soon

Well, I think that's Scout back on the ledge and looks like she's waddling along.

Maybe eggs soon????

Do the Egg Dance...do do do da do do do do do, do do do da do do do do do... (okay...just substitute "The Hustle" theme here...too many notes to capture & who knows if I'm doing it right)

:eggdance:

Susan, thanks for the time correction. I try to keep track of the time a video is recorded, but sometimes I have to make an estimate. I’m glad Scout got something to eat. New Guy is doing his job. I was going to compare that action to a guy taking a girl out for dinner, but of course I won't, because that is anthropomorphism, n'est–ce pas?

I'm still sad about Orville. They had been together since 2006. Orville had another mate before Scout. Does anyone remember her name? The first year, her eggs didn't hatch, perhaps due to her young age. If I've got these facts wrong, please post corrections.

According to the Ohio Division of Wildlife website, Scout hatched in 2005 from the New Center/Fisher Building in Detroit, Michigan. The adult female that reared Scout is Alpha from the 2001 Columbus nest!

beans, her name was Victory I believe.

edit, yes I just looked back. She had been injured, rehabilitated, and was released in August 2008. As far as I know, she has not been seen since, although a few days after her release there was a big disturbance near the ledge and we wondered if it could have been her returning to reclaim the nest.

A quick canoodle on the ledge right there in the middle. Just sat here and watched, didn't even think about getting a picture.

Yep. I was being lazy on the sofa and heard a ruckus. When I popped an eye open, saw some interesting activity!!!

PS...6:52PM, MM has landed on the ledge and is calling for his leading lady.
