doesn't look to be a uncracked egg in the scrape now, just Broken pieces and smashed shells, mom kicked the little guy around a bit trying to get comfortable

Well, missed the second hatching, too. Saw that little one on its back for a moment too, ljames. Weather Channel says it's 81 degrees right now, with a high today in the upper 80s. Not quite that hot tomorrow, with thunderstorms in the forecast for tomorrow. Back to mowing. :-(

Poor hot mom. She is trying to hard to keep everyone covered and get her tailfeathers into the corner of the scrape to get that creeeping shade as it moves in. Number 1 was out in the sun, but he was able to flip himself to the left.....

Hooray!! Nice to see the second one--last time I was able to get a peek at the computer there was only a pip in the shell. A perfect day to hatch!! Thanks to all for great photos and for the timely reports!
