Thanks so much for all the posts on the comings and goings! I'm encouraged to hear that she's been leaving the nestbox for longer periods. Hopefully she's both looking for a new mate and finding some snacks.

Jane, I know of one of the places they cache food but unfortunately I don't think there's any way to access it. Hopefully she'll take the food we'll be leaving her and we won't have to try and put any there!

5 mins ago, I checked the cam and saw the eggs unattended, but the next frame showed Red back on the eggs

IF YOU ARE CLICKING IN OTHER TABS OR WINDOWS, SOMETIMES YOU HAVE TO WAIT A SEC OR TWO FOR THE CAM TO START AGAIN. LOOK AT THE TIME AND MAKE SURE IT'S COUNTING, THAT'S WHAT I DO.

I have loved Red Girl ever since she was the last fledge from Harrisburg. I still remember how sad she seemed when her brother, Green Boy, did not come back to keep her company after he died when flying into a glass wall near the river. And how funny it was when Mom finally had to chase her off the ledge, because she kept coming back, not wanting to leave home. I hope everything goes well for her now.
