I just watched Red for the past few minutes...I definitely think something is going on under her based on the sudden change in her posture...of course, it could just be my imagination...but when they suddenly (as suddenly as possible with a refresh cam :lol: ) strike that armadillo/porcupine/turtle pose and look under them, it makes me wonder... :spingirl:

Kim, you mentioned that food was going to be (or already is) provided for Red Girl; will there be any way for you to tell if she is in fact accepting it? For instance, is there a vantage point with binoculars that can be monitored to see if she gets the food or if some other critter gets it?

Just an FYI...this last trip, she left at 1:56..I enlarged the cam...couldn't tell anything with the eggs...

SUSANE, I THINK THE ONLY PLACE THEY WILL BE ABLE TO PUT THE FOOD MAYBE IS RIGHT IN THE BOX SINCE THERE ARE DOORS BEHIND IT. THEY CAN'T REACH THE OTHER LEDGES, TOO FAR UP IN THE AIR I THINK AND PROBABLY NOT ACCESS TO THOSE LEDGES.

Susan, she should bring food into the nestbox to feed her babies. I don't think we have to worry about anything else getting the food since they'd have a pissed off falcon to deal with!

Actually I'm hoping an egg hatches today because I don't think we're going to do anything until at least one of them hatches. She might abandon the eggs if she gets freaked enough but she would never abandon a chick!
