Mom is in the nest, calling for her mate. He appears for a few seconds, and they do some bowing and chupping. And off he goes.

This pair usually appeared on the ledge one at a time. She was there most often, waiting on the ledge and then hopping into the nest , working on her scrape. Then when she did leave, he would pop in for a minute…

:loveheart: I was just observing an egg duty exchange on the 4 beautiful eggs. ( I’m glad the male like to help her so willingly. I looked on the first page of this thread and found a little more information about them.
“ The two adult falcons using this nest box have been identified by the Midwest Peregrine Society as an 11 year old female and a 15 year old male. This female has been nesting here since 2016. The male, banded in 2009 in Indiana, is a new partner for the female. The eggs could be hatching as early as May 17.”

keepingan eye on chick. was accienetally knocked out by adult. no t much movement but I see it is brought in under adult now

I found where it was knocked out..and moved very briefly after that...but I don't think since then..so sad...I'm surprised this doesn't happen more often..

will try to remain hopeful..but, I don't know.. :girlsad3: .

I feel awful as the bigger one ate well at last feed. I think adult hurt it when it was knocked out. It did move for a bit.
