WE MAY HAVE A 4TH IN HARRISBURG THIS MORNING. I HOPE THEY PUT MORE FOOD OUT FOR RED GIRL THIS MORNING. I KINDA WORRY ABOUT AN EGG BEING HATCHED DURING THE NIGHT AND THEN WHEN SHE GOES TO GET FOOD, CHICK WILL GET TOO COLD. YEP, WORRY WART HERE! :lol:

She just got up, did a little preening, and then left.

I can't really discern any cracks or pips in the eggs at the moment. Perhaps a little later when the light is better it will be easier to see.

I hope Red Girl returns soon - she's been gone for over an hour and 20 minutes now.

Today's weather for Wilmington: Sunny with a high of 80 degrees, currently 62 degrees

BTW, STILL ONLY 3 IN HARRISBURG, BUT ONE EGG LOOKED LIKE IT HAD A PIECE OUT OF IT, BUT COULD BE A CAMERA ILLUSION.

I think now is the time to give her a chick, if they are going to give her one. One that is a bit older, that can be left for a wee bit. But then we do not want her to leave it either.

Yes, more food would be great also.

Catbird, loved those pics you caught this morning with more light in the box than we normally see. Kinda made me feel like this nest is finally going to see the light of day--maybe a hatch later? (I know I'm being silly!) :oops:

WELL MAYBE SHE FOUND HERSELF "A MAN" AND IS HAVING TROUBLE DRAGGING HIM BACK TO THE NEST WITH 4 EGGS AND ALL :lol:

Bill Stewart sent an email 20 minutes ago as follows: "I just received a phone call at 9:42 that a second falcon was observed flying near the nestbox airspace. The observation was made by an individual in the Merrill Lynch building while he was watching the female in the box. I had asked him to keep a lookout for any other falcons last week after ours went missing. His window has an unobstructed view of the box."

Thanks, Greg--interesting! Just hope its a male! Glad to hear there are more people watching the nestbox.

Greg - Thanks from me too. That's good news about the other falcon sighting, I think. Red Girl had just returned to the nest box at 9:39 a.m., so perhaps she'd met him (I'm assuming it was a male) while she was out and about this morning and he followed her back to the Brandywine Building.

Red Girl just took off again. It looked like she heard something (the other falcon perhaps) outside the nest box.
