Very interesting thoughts fr the Biologist - thanx so much for sharing that Bev :thumbegg:

So to follow the most optimistic suggestion that perhaps she could be brooding/feeding it in the other nest box ... she has not been seen so much around the parents since the snatch, has she??? Plus has that alarm calling diminished at all too???

We've got to be the the biologists' eyes & ears now - well most especially Wizzz!

WOW...thanks for posting Wayne's response, Bev...very interesting theories...I tend to think that since she took it to "her box", that she may have indeed thought of brooding...but who knows...

One thing's for sure, this entire situation is being well documented...and Wizzz, in all your spare time, you can document it all...I'm sure biologists everywhere would love to read about the progression of this nest...many of Wayne's examples regarded captive birds...this is a wild nest!!!

Not to sound crass, but has there been any sightings/visits by Polly in the last couple days since the 'incident'? I've viewed the cam off and on most of yesterday and didn't see anything, and watched a bit today and nothing as well. I won't offer any opinion, because the majority seems to rule.

Hmmmmmmmmmmmm....that's an interesting question, ParaWings...I haven't had time to check the archives, maybe that would offer an answer...

I also hope that you don't feel your opinions aren't welcome, cause they are...its just that we're, sort of, kind of, um, a very opinionated bunch!!! :lol:

PW, Polly was in the box on Saturday afternoon at 2:48 & I got a picture of her. Fortunately when she left, she left alone.

Please don't stop offering your opinions! We all like hearing each other's opinions!

Hope you don't mind if I translate it for the Dutch site.

I do speak French, so if there is any new information from Eve (Wizzz) I will translate it hereto.
I understood (by talking with someone on Montreals chat) that Eve could be verry busy at the moment, which would explain she couldn't come here since.

Day 10 already

Our little ones are 10 days old now. The two remaining seem in excellent health. You will see that their evolution will go quicker the next couple of days... I can consult this site to get an idea of what we will see by then.

Here is a video from yesterday showing Spirit nourrishing her little ones.
