Good catch, Susan...I just don't remember this view...I think I must have started watching Manitoba when the chicks were somewhat mobile (well, walking on their elbows, at least)..and the cam view was outside this box...I wonder if they will switch to that cam when the chicks are larger...if they even have that option...its gonna be might hard to see a pip...

SGB, this is a different nest than has been on cam the last couple of years. This one is safer. Remember the flooding of a couple years ago at the other nest? Anyway, I think I read somewhere that once the kids are older and moving around there will be a second cam, but don't quote me on that.

Isn't this the nest where they used what looked to me like a litter box for them to nest in last year?

Thanks for the info...I guess I just thought this was the box from..2007 (?) I know the past two years they were on that dreadful ledge...(I still have nightmares about that tragedy)..

Such an interesting view...surely the box isn't that deep and cavelike...must be the type of cam they are using..

Tracy revamped the box. I will look for the information on it.

here is some cam information

This year's camera is built into the half-covered nest box, which is 30 storeys up on the west side of the hotel. At least one additional camera will show the ledge area once the chicks get ready to fly.

Sorry, I was not around in 2007, so I don't know if this is the same as then.

catwoman, this is a different location than what you are recalling from the "litter box" situation which was last year. That was used to keep them safe in case of heavy rain. As SGB coined, it was the "dreadful ledge."

I wonder if the outside cam will be able to pan around the city to keep track of the juvies on the various buildings. I really enjoyed looking for them last year and seeing their hangouts. :-)

Last year was the first year I watched this nest but I knew of the drownings from before. :-(

Just pulled up the cam and thought, I don't remember seeing all this in here last time I looked. Eggshells all over the place. Came here and saw 3 babies hatched.

I was watching here early this morning and only saw the one egg shell, so I'm thrilled to hear that 3 have hatched! Princess is really a Queen when it comes to timing her hatches.

slideshow of feeding. Ivy borough the food and then left and then came back and sat on ledge until Princess left

I should probably just make up mind what picutres to post instead of slideshows. I know they get a little much
