The chicks are very agitated right now--maybe they see somebody on the roof? Spirit is in the box with them--wonder if they'll wait for her to leave before they try to get the chicks.

they took chicks from door in back

My heart stopped as the one chick almost fell out backwards.
they got one and then the other one backed right up. no picutres as I was so scared for it.
Mom i s screaming inside nest box and dad is on outside
she is looking for chicks and dad is dong flybys

The chicks are out of the box for banding right now. Spirit is standing inside the box & I hear Roger flying by cacking frequently.

They used a net to cover the outside opening so the chicks couldn't fall/jump while they were taken out the back of the box.

Good thing, too, cause one chick did back up towards the opening.

Whether they see people or not they are stressed out

they have switched to banding now.

Spirit was in there when they got the chicks & I didn't see if she flew out when the back was opened or what, but she was back in there right quick after they took the chicks.
